2014 Norco Lion Cubs North Coventry Lion Cubs Wrap Up Year of Service
October 9, 2013 – Terry Stouffer opened our first meeting by informing the North Coventry students attending about the Lions. Then the Lion Cubs organized water bottles and put labels on them to distribute to every classroom for The Dimes Make A Difference coin collection campaign during Make a Difference Week. The money was collected for The North Coventry Cancer Busters - Relay for Life of Pottstown. They also made posters to hang up throughout the school.

November 6, 2013 The Lion Cub’s volunteered to help with the North Coventry Veteran’s Day celebration by writing poems and making posters. They then practiced reading their poems to be read at the November 11th assembly. They helped with the breakfast and participated in the assembly honoring veterans.
December 11, 2013 At the meeting we made boxes for collection for food drive, for each grade level. Boarded the bus after meeting and went caroling at Manatawny Manor. Every morning during the food collection one of our Lion Cub’s was chosen to make an announcement about the food drive.

March 12, 2014 – This meeting we prepared the boxes for eye glass donations to distribute throughout North Coventry School. We also made signs for the eye glass collection. The cub’s also made signs to put up in the school to encourage other students during the upcoming PSSA testing period.

April 2 2014 We had a guest at this meeting, Terry Stouffer visited our group. He joined us as we helped with a service to NC elementary school by cleaning out the garden’s raised beds in preparation for spring planting.
May 7, 2014 - The cub’s worked very diligently to make decorations and signs for the Relay for Life beach theme. Many of them attended the May 31st Relay for Life in support of our fourth grade teacher, Carly Youngblood, who has been fighting her own battle with cancer this school year.
