French Creek Elementary Inducts 27 New Members into their Club
May 7th meeting: Since this was our last meeting of the year, we celebrated by throwing pizza party and inducting each of our Lion Cubs into the club. They received a T-shirt and a certificate before being sworn in. We were even able to fit in a few group pictures outside!
After (and during) receiving their pizza and beverage snack, Lionette Leah Kinzinger opened the Induction Ceremonies with her own story about becoming a Lion. Leah was a recipient of the Lions Club Leader Dog Program which teams clients with highly devoted canines. The two are paired to work together and form a bond which benefits both the client and the leader dog.
The prospective new cubs were then called upon to receive their certificate of membership and Lion Cubs T-shirt.
Lion Cub Advisor, Terry Stouffer then inducted the members into the French Creek Lion Cubs Club. New advisor Amy Hess also took the New Advisor oath as she received her advisor's certificate. Lions Adam Cathers and Ken Swart joined in the presentation of certificates and t-shirts.
After the formal inductions the Lion Cubs and their advisors, Amy and fifth year advisor Amanda Martin set up for a picture on the front grounds of the school on a beautiful spring day.
The other schools in the district will be holding their induction ceremonies later this month and in early June.
